Ylang ylang is a yellow, star-shaped flower that grows on the Cananga tree. This tropical species is native to countries surrounding the Indian Ocean, such as India, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and parts of Australia. Ylang ylang’s heady, aromatic scent is fruity, flowery, and rich.
Emotionally, Ylang Ylang essential oil is heralded for being helpful with stress and anxiety. It’s also used in cases of depression or when trying to cope with anger.
For chakra work, Ylang Ylang is said to help balance the Sacral and Solar Plexus Chakras.
